Associate Software Engineer

About the role

Asure Software, a provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) software and services, is hiring an Associate Software Engineer in Atlanta. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, test and maintain software that supports Asure's products and platform services, with opportunities across front-end, back-end and full-stack development.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders to build software that meets business and customer needs.
• Design, develop, test and maintain applications, services and APIs, and write clean, documented code.
• Take part in code reviews and fix defects through troubleshooting and debugging.
• Maintain integrations with internal and external systems and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Support application development and deployment in cloud environments.
• Join Agile activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Use AI-powered development tools and explore adding AI and machine learning features under senior engineers' guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information technology or a related field.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Experience with at least one modern language such as C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
• Interest in AI, machine learning and emerging technologies.
• Legally authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Basic understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git or another version control system.
• Preferred: exposure to React, Angular or Vue.js.NET, Node.js or Python, RESTful APIs, cloud-native concepts, Agile, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Salary of $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience and skills.
