Associate Operations Manager

About the role

Dot Foods Inc., a family-owned and operated company since 1960, is hiring an Associate Operations Manager in Bullhead City, Arizona, reporting to the Director of Warehouse. The role involves spending much of the time rotating between transportation and warehouse jobs to learn the key parts of operations and provide support and leadership as needed. It offers upward mobility within 12-18 months, depending on availability.

Key responsibilities

• Work with people across departments to build knowledge of warehouse and transportation.
• Gather, measure and interpret data that helps improve warehouse and transportation processes.
• Take part in meetings with warehouse, transportation, replenishment and outside distribution centers to understand processes and build collaboration relationships.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts using lean thinking and tools to find and remove waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience at Dot Foods or Dot Transportation.
• Effective verbal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in temperatures from 0°F to 100°F and in flexible hours, including weekends, night shifts and on-call duty.
• Occasional overnight travel to other company or outside facilities, independently by car, plane or train.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Nice to have: degree in logistics or supply-chain management, experience in budget development and business analysis, willingness to relocate and to embrace change.
