About the role
Alcon is seeking an Associate I to support commercial management for its surgical portfolio. The role bridges Surgical Sales, Marketing, customers and operations, using product knowledge to handle requests, analyse data and drive process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Create, receive and process departmental quote, contract and service requests from sales, marketing and operations teams.
- Analyse historical data and trends to provide insights that improve processes and team productivity.
- Update bills of materials by replacing or removing discontinued components.
- Train new sales representatives on business processes, quoting software and production workflows.
- Support system enhancements, handle daily/weekly deviations and troubleshoot material, production or shipping issues.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, text and email using a cloud‑based contact centre platform.
- Assist sales reps in securing high‑volume account business by addressing questions and concerns.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or high school + 8 years; Associate + 4 years).
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
- On‑site work location in Houston, TX.
- Travel requirement of 0–10%.
- No relocation assistance or sponsorship available.
Required skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
