Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead financial management and strategic planning activities for a medical device company. This senior position partners with senior leadership to drive performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis process.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor financial performance, identify key drivers and recommend revenue‑optimizing and cost‑controlling strategies.
• Support commercial initiatives, manage accruals, expense allocations and internal controls.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial planning, investment analysis and capital structure optimization.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team while fostering cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance/accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in the medical device or similarly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non‑financial stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with SAP and Hyperion (including consolidations).
• Experience using Adaptive Planning or similar budgeting software.
• High‑level expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• Financial modeling, forecasting and variance analysis capabilities.
