Equity Research Biopharmaceuticals Vice President

About the role

Barclays is seeking a Vice President to lead equity research coverage of the biopharmaceutical sector. You will work closely with senior analysts to produce research reports, present insights to institutional clients, and help shape investment recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis and valuation of biopharmaceutical companies, including financial modelling and interpretation of complex financial statements.
• Produce research notes, sector reports and thematic studies, and present findings to clients through meetings, virtual sessions and written communications.
• Engage with institutional clients to communicate research insights and provide strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with compliance, supervisory analysts and other stakeholders to ensure research is delivered in a compliant manner.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical sector and experience in healthcare investment banking, life‑sciences, or sell‑side biopharma research.
• FINRA licensing (SIE, S63, S86, S87) and CFA designation or progress toward it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey investment recommendations to clients.
