Associate Compliance Officer

About the role

Rho is looking for an Associate Compliance Officer to join its onboarding compliance team. You will manage day‑to‑day customer due diligence (CDD) and Know Your Business (KYB) tasks for new clients, ensuring all documentation meets BSA/AML, OFAC and FinCEN standards while keeping onboarding velocity high.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, verify and organize client documentation such as formation papers, ownership structures and beneficial ownership information.
• Perform risk assessments using established frameworks and flag any suspicious activity for senior staff.
• Coordinate with sales, operations and other internal teams to collect missing information and meet onboarding timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of onboarding files, compliance decisions and supporting documents.
• Assist with periodic reviews of existing accounts and prepare compliance reports as directed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in compliance, finance, banking or related operations.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC and FinCEN requirements, including CDD and KYB concepts.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and proactive problem‑solving.
• Ability to manage a queue independently, prioritize competing deadlines and meet service levels.
