Assistant/Associate Professor – Adult Division, Psychology

About the role

The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time faculty member for its Adult Division, at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure‑track) or Associate Professor (tenure‑eligible). The appointment begins on August 15, 2026 and the research focus is open, encompassing affect, cognition, social processes, mental health, and clinical science.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program aligned with the department’s strengths.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology and related fields.
• Supervise graduate students and post‑doctoral fellows.
• Secure external funding and publish scholarly work in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Collaborate with faculty across Adult, Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience, Child, and Health divisions.

Required profile

• Ph.D. (clinical or non‑clinical) completed by the start date.
• Strong record of scholarly productivity or clear potential for high‑impact research.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and mentorship.
• Interest in interdisciplinary methods and data‑intensive approaches.
