Assistant Store Manager – University Village

About the role

As an Assistant Store Manager at Rothy’s University Village store, you will partner closely with the Store Manager to drive a culture of service, sales, and operational excellence while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training a strong store team.
• Maintain high performance standards by training the team on SOPs, service expectations, selling skills, and product knowledge.
• Lead and model Rothy’s Experience through exceptional service and coaching on the sales floor.
• Build customer loyalty through clienteling, relationship‑building, and in‑store events.
• Support visual merchandising, store cleanliness, and presentation standards.

Required profile

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through personal performance and team leadership.
• Strong coaching and talent development skills.
• Familiarity with operational processes such as merchandising and shipment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb, and use ladders or step stools.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
