Assistant Store Manager - OluKai Retail

About the role

OluKai Retail is looking for an Assistant Store Manager in West Palm Beach, FL, to support a premium, welcoming store where customers can experience the full OluKai brand in a fun, hands-on environment. The ASM partners with the Store Manager to shape the store experience and manages every aspect of store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager on the store financial plan, including revenue and expenses, and help plan weekly performance reviews and monthly strategy
• Foster a sales-driven culture through incentives, games and other activities to hit targets
• Identify inventory gaps, manage inventory, restock, receive and transfer products, and handle back-of-house operations and daily store maintenance
• Create seasonal floor sets and visual merchandising displays and keep visual standards and brand image
• Train staff as product storytellers and coach them on customer needs and product knowledge
• Handle POS tasks such as daily reporting, sales, returns and exchanges, gift cards and collecting member information
• Help recruit, hire, train and develop staff, set schedules and cover gaps, resolve conflicts and run performance check-ins
• Take on store manager responsibilities when the Store Manager is absent

Required profile

• At least 2 years of retail experience, including management experience
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Self-motivated leader with strong entrepreneurial skills and a guest-centric, collaborative attitude
• Elevated communication skills and ability to adapt style to the audience
• College degree is a plus
