Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager. The role manages the restaurant to a Five-Star level, upholds service standards and works closely with the kitchen and beverage teams to deliver a consistent, guest-first dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the restaurant to a definitive Five-Star level and implement and maintain service standards and team accountability
• Ensure the brand DNA is used in all decisions and procedures, and foster teamwork across resort departments
• Collaborate with the Chef on food knowledge and with the Beverage Department/Sommelier on beverage knowledge for all staff
• Inspect service consistency and behaviour daily, and set operational objectives with a guest-first approach
• Create and hold accountable a motivated, productive management team and act as a leader among competing restaurants
• Handle administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, daily correspondence and budget adherence, and communicate financial objectives and results
• Respond effectively to guest and staff needs and delegate efficiently to the Assistant Dining Room Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality preferred
• Sommelier certification preferred
• Passion for food and wine and commitment to a Five-Star dining experience
