Assistant Project Manager (Solar)

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager (Solar) supports the Project Manager in both administrative and technical aspects of solar construction projects. This role involves coordinating contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review design documents, identify subcontractors, develop bid packages and project schedules.
• Manage project financials, including PFR and LCR maintenance, and oversee change order processes.
• Administer document control, RFI processes, and prepare monthly reports and correspondence.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, permit inspections, and maintain safety and loss‑control programs.
• Lead project closeout activities, obtain certifications, submit as‑built drawings, and manage warranty delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in solar construction.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work with owners, architects, and building departments.
• Proficiency with construction project management software and strong computer skills.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
