About the role
The Miami Herbert Business School seeks an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Entrepreneurship to join the Department of Management starting Fall 2026. This non‑tenure‑track faculty member will bring real‑world entrepreneurial experience to enrich undergraduate and graduate learning.
Key responsibilities
- Teach six courses (approximately 18 credit hours) per academic year in entrepreneurship and related subjects.
- Maintain regular office hours and provide additional mentorship and support to students outside class time.
- Participate in departmental service activities as assigned by the Department Chair.
- Collaborate with the department and school on entrepreneurial initiatives, events, and programs.
- Adhere to departmental policies, expectations, and protocols.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or equivalent academic credential.
- Significant experience as an entrepreneur with a record of distinguished accomplishments.
- Demonstrated connections with business practitioners and a reputation as a role model.
- Prior academic experience, including teaching entrepreneurship.
- Published practitioner articles, books, or case studies are preferred.
