Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Administration

About the role

The Department of Pharmacy Administration at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will join a collaborative faculty team to teach, conduct research, and contribute to the department’s mission of advancing pharmacy education and health services research.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including basic statistics, quality measurement, and social/administrative pharmacy topics.
• Develop and lead research projects in areas such as pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research, and health policy.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty across the university and research centers.
• Mentor graduate students in data management, statistical analysis, and applications of artificial intelligence.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or comparable degree in pharmacy administration, health services research, or a related discipline by the start date.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the health‑care system and pharmacy practice.
• Evidence of teaching ability at the professional or graduate level.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS).
• Experience applying artificial intelligence techniques to health data.
• Data management and analysis capabilities.
