About the role

The University of Miami Leonard Miller School of Medicine seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics with a focus on Nephrology to serve as Division Chief. This senior academic appointment combines patient care, research leadership, and educational responsibilities within a nationally recognized pediatric department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to pediatric patients with renal disorders across multiple hospital sites.
• Lead the Nephrology division, overseeing faculty, staff, and service line development.
• Develop and sustain a robust research program, securing external funding and mentoring trainees.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in both classroom and bedside settings.
• Collaborate with affiliated health systems, including Jackson Health System and the Miami VA, to expand clinical and research initiatives.

Required profile

• Board certification in Pediatric Nephrology.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, research, and teaching.
• Strong leadership experience and ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
