Assistant Professor of Clinical OBGYN – Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical in Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology. The faculty member will join the Clinician Educator track, providing direct patient care and contributing to the academic mission of the division.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an average of seven half‑day outpatient clinics per week.
• Serve as an attending physician for inpatient units at UHealth and Jackson Holtz Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
• Provide operating‑room surgical time for pediatric and adolescent gynecologic procedures.
• Share coverage of division emergencies and perform administrative duties.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows across OBGYN, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Medicine/Pediatrics programs.
• Participate in scholarly activity and support clinical research initiatives.
• Assist in developing a future Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology fellowship.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric, adolescent, and young adult gynecologic care.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate medical education.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both university and health‑system settings.
• Interest in scholarly work and clinical investigation.

Required skills

• Clinical proficiency in managing vulvovaginal disorders, menstrual disorders, congenital reproductive anomalies, adnexal masses, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and polycystic ovary syndrome.
• Surgical skills for pediatric and adolescent gynecologic procedures.
• Effective documentation, communication with referring physicians, and use of patient portals.
