Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology – Epilepsy & EEG

About the role

The Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor to provide clinical care, teach, and lead research in epilepsy and electroencephalography.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate inpatient and outpatient patients with epilepsy.
• Interpret MRI and other radiological studies, rotating with neuro‑radiology as needed.
• Interpret EEG studies and serve on the EEG reading panel.
• Teach fellows, residents, and medical students in both one‑on‑one and lecture formats.
• Design and conduct clinical research, including multi‑center trials.
• Organize journal clubs, publish peer‑reviewed articles, and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university committees.

Required profile

• Medical degree with active Florida medical license.
• Active DEA and BLS certifications.
• Neurology residency training (or equivalent) and board certification or eligibility.
