Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine – Infectious Disease

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine specializing in Infectious Disease. The incumbent will provide direct patient care, supervise trainees, and contribute to research and quality initiatives within the Department of Medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient and inpatient clinical services for adult infectious disease patients.
• Serve as an attending physician on medical and surgical services, including at UHealth and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical settings and didactic sessions.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, hospital and university committees.
• Engage in academic research and lead educational or administrative projects within the division.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) with completed infectious diseases fellowship from an ABIM‑recognized program.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and board‑eligible or certified in Infectious Diseases.
• Valid, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
