Assistant Professor of Clinical Diagnostic Radiology (Emergency)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine are seeking a fellowship‑trained radiologist to join the Division of Emergency/Trauma in Diagnostic Radiology as a full‑time faculty member on the clinical educator track.

Key responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic imaging services for emergency and trauma patients across multiple UHealth facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospitals.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical radiology.
• Participate in clinical research and trials, contributing to the translation of discoveries from bench to bedside.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of over 70 clinical radiologists and other specialists.
• Support departmental initiatives that advance patient care, education, and scholarly activity.

Required profile

• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited fellowship in Diagnostic Radiology, preferably with emergency or trauma focus.
• Eligibility for academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor.
• Commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.
• Ability to work within a diverse, inclusive academic environment.
