Assistant or Associate Professor of Real Estate – Development and Finance Focus

About the role

The University of Miami School of Architecture seeks a tenure‑track Assistant or Associate Professor to join its Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism (MRED + U) program. The appointment begins August 1 2026 and focuses on real‑estate finance and financial analysis for development and investment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core and elective graduate courses in real‑estate finance, development, and related subjects.
• Advise and mentor MRED + U students on academic and professional matters.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders.
• Conduct and publish high‑quality research in real‑estate finance, development, or urban economics.
• Contribute to the growth, visibility, and interdisciplinary nature of the program.

Required profile

• Ph.D. (or near completion) in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• Evidence of scholarship, professional accomplishment, or recognized expertise in real‑estate finance, development, or urban economics.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably at the graduate level.
• A defined or emerging research agenda aligned with the program’s focus.
• For associate‑professor rank: a research record commensurate with seniority and prior tenure at another institution.
