Assistant Nurse Manager – SICU/CVICU

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Surgical ICU and Cardiovascular ICU at Florida Weston Hospital provides clinical supervision, unit coordination, and leadership to ensure high‑quality patient care and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily clinical operations of the SICU and CVICU.
• Provide direct patient care and act as a liaison between caregivers, other departments, and nurse managers.
• Conduct performance evaluations, address attendance issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Interview, select, orient new staff and prepare work schedules to maintain adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, research initiatives, and assume Nurse Manager duties when absent.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum two years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in critical care.
• One year of leadership experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred).
• Strong clinical knowledge of ICU care and patient monitoring.
