Assistant Nurse Manager

About the role

AdventHealth in Kissimmee, Florida is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager on a night shift. The role leads the unit in delivering patient care, manages performance improvement and supports staff development, and covers venous access and infusion therapy. The pay range is $34.32-$63.84.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, administer and monitor infusion therapy, and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and implement improvement plans.
• Mentor and precept new staff, organize training programs and resolve staff conflicts through mediation.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and improving patient care and operational efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Manage the business of healthcare delivery on the unit, including assessing and managing financial practices.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required); associate's degree in nursing required, bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ years of charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; several certifications listed as preferred.

Required skills

• Excellent clinical practice knowledge and broad nursing knowledge.
• Ability to lead staff, lead performance improvement and manage the unit's business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with an electronic health record.
