Assistant In-Room Dining Manager

About the role

The Assistant In-Room Dining Manager supports the In-Room Dining Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of in-room dining services at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. The role supervises staff, manages logistics for meal delivery, maintains service standards and assists with scheduling, inventory and guest satisfaction, helping create a seamless, efficient and profitable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the in-room dining team, including order takers, delivery attendants and captains
• Monitor food and beverage preparation for presentation and quality standards
• Coordinate with the kitchen on special guest requests and dietary needs
• Oversee shift operations, including peak hours and overnight shifts
• Handle guest complaints and monitor guest feedback to drive improvements
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training staff, and schedule shifts
• Provide coaching, conduct pre-shift briefings and maintain accurate records of sales, labor and costs
• Control portions, minimize waste, and ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations
• Oversee equipment maintenance and cleanliness of in-room dining areas

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of Food & Beverage leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of in-room dining operations, food safety and service standards
• Experience in high-volume F&B operations preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, spoken and written
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Familiarity with POS systems and financial reporting tools
• Leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Problem-solving and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
