Assistant General Manager, Los Angeles

About the role

Equinox, a luxury health, wellness and hospitality operator, is hiring an Assistant General Manager for its Los Angeles club. The role works closely with the General Manager to run the club's operations, support ancillary departments and sales, and deliver a high level of customer service to members. Candidates must be open to location reassignments and flexible schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Influence and inspire a dynamic workforce
• Interview, hire, train and manage the Front Desk, Maintenance and Kids' club departments to meet brand standards, help develop schedules and ensure adherence to payroll budgets
• Complete staff performance evaluations monthly and annually
• Follow the monthly ordering timeline and supply budgets
• Support ancillary departments and sales with the General Manager, and stay aware of monthly departmental goals and projections
• Ensure club cleanliness and compliance with Risk Management and Loss Prevention procedures, monitoring safety and security
• Help facilitate other projects or responsibilities delegated by the General Manager

Required profile

• Proven leadership ability with 1-3 years of management experience in an operational management industry
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and move around the facility all day

• Effective time management and follow-up skills
• Financial management experience
