Assistant Director – Life & Health Insurance Product Review

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Assistant Director to lead the review and compliance of life and health insurance products. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure regulatory adherence, support legislative initiatives, and guide product strategy across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee review and compliance of life and health insurance filings.
• Analyze legislation and market trends to draft regulations, bulletins, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams to align product strategies and rate structures.
• Conduct detailed analysis of product performance, loss trends, and rate adequacy.
• Monitor state and federal regulatory changes and implement updates.
• Supervise the Form and Rate Analyst (Life and Health) and evaluate staff performance.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
• Support quality‑assurance activities related to product implementation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a related field plus 2 years management experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years management experience.
• Alternatively, 7 years relevant experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Experience in regulatory compliance or a comparable position is preferred.
