Assistant Buyer – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Buyer to support the DKNY Stores buying team in New York City. You will help shape seasonal assortments, analyze performance data, and ensure product flow to both brick‑and‑mortar and e‑commerce channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Buyer in developing and executing seasonal merchandise assortments aligned with brand and business objectives.
• Analyze weekly sales, inventory, and performance reports to identify opportunities and support buying decisions.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, product setup information, and assortment documentation.
• Track deliveries and monitor purchase order status to ensure timely product flow to stores and e‑commerce channels.
• Support inventory management initiatives through reporting, reorder recommendations, and stock analysis.
• Partner with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations teams for seasonal launches and product execution.
• Prepare presentations, recaps, and reporting for line reviews, business meetings, and seasonal hindsight analysis.
• Maintain accurate product information and merchandising data across internal systems.
