Director, Retail Sales – eCommerce

About the role

The Director of eCommerce Marketplaces will be the commercial owner of Anheuser‑Busch’s U.S. marketplace business, including platforms such as DoorDash, Instacart and Uber Eats. Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, the role drives sales, share, digital penetration and strategic partnerships while translating marketplace data into growth strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Own revenue, share and digital penetration targets for all marketplace accounts and develop 3‑year, 1‑year and annual operating plans aligned with corporate eCommerce priorities.
• Lead senior relationships with marketplace platforms, manage joint business planning, QBRs, innovation sessions and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Define and manage marketplace investment strategy, including retail media spend, promotional funding and performance expectations.
• Oversee performance management rhythms, weekly reporting, forecasting and scorecards, turning data into actionable insights.
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of promotions, launches, assortment changes and on‑site merchandising across platforms.
• Lead, coach and develop at least one direct report, fostering a high‑accountability, customer‑responsive culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in CPG, retail, eCommerce or digital commerce with proven ownership of customer or platform strategy.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, including budget ownership, ROI evaluation and performance management.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, capable of coaching talent and building accountable teams.
