Assembler I – Medical Device Production

About the role

The Assembler I position supports the production of medical device products in an entry‑level capacity. Working under close supervision, you will follow manufacturing documents to assemble components and prototypes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products or prototypes and record build data.
• Communicate material, process, or procedural issues to leads and supervisors.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors on special assembly requests.
• Train other assemblers on certified procedures as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in a cleanroom setting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0‑1 year of manufacturing experience (preferably medical device assembly).
• Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Willingness to work overtime and adhere to cleanroom gowning and hygiene requirements.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 lb frequently and 50 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Basic measuring techniques using scales, rulers, and both US and metric units.
• Ability to perform small‑part assembly using a microscope, vision system, or related automated equipment.
• Proficiency in following detailed manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Hand‑eye coordination for precision tasks under a microscope.
