Asphalt Plant Laborer

About the role

Texas Materials is seeking an Asphalt Plant Laborer to help keep its plant running efficiently and safely. The role supports production and delivery teams while ensuring a clean, well‑maintained work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Perform daily plant maintenance, housekeeping, and cleaning tasks.
• Report major maintenance issues to the Plant Manager and other supervisors.
• Assist with general labor duties, including operating small power tools such as jack hammers.
• Lift, carry, and handle materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available for night or weekend shifts when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (minimum).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Valid driver’s license meeting state requirements.
• Willingness to travel, work away from home, and work nights/weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math for record‑keeping.
