Armed Airport Patrol Officer (Mon-Fri)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Law Enforcement Officer for an armed airport patrol in Lihue, Hawaii, working Monday to Friday. The officer serves clients in sectors such as government, conducts routine vehicle and foot patrols, keeps a visible presence to deter incidents and responds to security concerns at a government transportation location.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities to serve clients.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and solve problems.
• Supervise contractor personnel and work with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on security disputes and complaints about subordinate employees.
• Make sound, immediate decisions under stress and follow instructions while taking responsibility for your actions.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of U.S. law enforcement experience after graduation from a certified academy (federal, state or county).
• Experience in de-escalation, incident report writing, patrolling high-traffic areas and communication skills.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program; credentials provided on application.
• Valid driver's license, 22+ years old, fluent English, no felony convictions and no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence or untruthfulness.
• Good physical health, able to stand and walk for a full shift, lift up to 25 lbs, and pass a DOTA security background check, a one-time physical exam within the last 6 months, a 12-panel drug test and random drug tests.
• Correctable vision to 20/30 in each eye with normal color vision, normal hearing, and well-groomed appearance.
