Architect I – Graduate Position in Building Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Architect to join our Building Systems team in Columbus, OH. You will work closely with senior architects, engineers, technicians, and administrative staff on a variety of commercial projects, gaining hands‑on experience in design calculations, quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, drafting, plan development, report preparation, and occasional field work.

Key responsibilities

• Produce plans, sections, elevations, and details for multiple project types.
• Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and FormIt for technical architectural work.
• Apply building design and construction techniques to project deliverables.
• Perform production tasks using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Assist project team leaders in aligning client and technical design standards.
• Create high‑quality documents and conduct self‑checks before peer review hand‑offs.

Required profile

• Creative problem‑solver with strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture (preferred).
• Willingness to ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate in a matrixed team environment.
• Experience working on team projects in academic or professional settings.
