APS District Manager – Aging Services

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking an experienced professional to lead the Adult Protective Services (APS) District. This managerial position oversees APS field operations, ensuring effective service delivery to vulnerable adults across the assigned district.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the APS Field Operations Manager and regional supervisors.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to field staff on daily operations and service delivery.
• Monitor district activities, identify issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Communicate accurate information to supervisors and staff promptly.
• Collaborate with state office staff on client and employee matters.
• Develop and implement goals aligned with departmental strategic plans.
• Advocate for program improvements and participate in leadership team initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in managing social service programs or similar public sector operations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze operational data and recommend solutions.
