Appointment Setter - Merchant Services (Credit Card Processing)

About the role

A Texas-based merchant services provider specializing in credit card processing and payment solutions for small and medium-sized businesses is looking for an experienced Appointment Setter. The role focuses on service-based businesses such as tire shops, automotive repair shops and mechanics in the Dallas-Austin-Waco area. Candidates must have direct experience selling merchant services or payment solutions, not a general B2B appointment-setting position.

Key responsibilities

• Research small to medium-sized businesses in Dallas, Austin and Waco, Texas
• Make high-volume outbound calls to business owners and decision-makers
• Introduce and explain the benefits of merchant services, credit card processing and payment solutions
• Qualify prospects by their current payment arrangements, business needs and interest
• Book appointments and consultations for the sales team
• Handle initial objections and keep accurate call and lead records in the CRM
• Track daily and weekly outreach, qualified leads and booked appointments

Required profile

• Mandatory: direct experience selling merchant services, credit card processing or payment solutions to small and medium-sized business owners
• At least 2-3 years in B2B sales, outbound prospecting, appointment setting or merchant services sales
• Proven track record of generating leads, booking appointments or closing merchant services accounts
• Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and performance-based targets

Required skills

• CRM use to manage leads and track conversations
• Cold calling and engaging decision-makers
• Understanding of merchant services, including interchange fees, processing rates and POS/payment gateway solutions
