Analytics Engineer

About the role

Intermedia is seeking an Analytics Engineer to partner with business stakeholders and transform data questions into robust, production‑ready analytics solutions. You will design, build, and optimize data models and Power BI reports that drive insight across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions, delivering both quick explorations and production‑ready products.
• Design and implement dimensional models, semantic layers, Snowflake views, DBT marts, and Power BI datasets.
• Build and optimize Power BI semantic models using DAX and Power Query, and create effective visual reports.
• Write consumption‑layer SQL (views, transforms, analytical queries) in Snowflake and SQL Server.
• Consolidate data solutions into modern analytics platforms to improve consistency and reduce technical debt.
• Define and document metric definitions, business logic, and data product specifications.
• Develop and maintain data quality tests (dbt tests, SQL validations) and contribute to testing standards.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers through code reviews, shared planning, and PR‑based workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, BI engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong curiosity and drive to deeply understand supported business domains.
• Proven ability to work with complex SQL queries, window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning in cloud data warehouses.
