Mid-level Data Engineer

About the role

Intermedia is looking for a mid‑level Data Engineer to join its fast‑paced cloud communications team in the Republic of Georgia. You will work with a modern data stack to transform raw data into reliable, consumable assets for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
• Develop dbt models with comprehensive tests and documentation.
• Investigate and resolve data issues from downstream reports back to source systems.
• Respond to incidents such as failed MSSQL jobs, hung Snowflake tasks, or missing S3 files.
• Execute backfills, validate results, and ensure data integrity during migrations.
• Facilitate data movement from MSSQL to Snowflake without loss.
• Monitor pipeline health and proactively address potential problems.
• Document processes and solutions for future reference.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated and able to own work without constant supervision.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a closely related role.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning.
• Ability to read and debug stored procedures.
