Alumni Relations Manager for Steers Center

About the role

The Alumni Relations Manager supports alumni engagement for the Steers Center at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role coordinates outreach, maintains records, and connects alumni with opportunities that benefit students, programs, and the Center’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate alumni engagement across teams and business units, aligning activities with leadership priorities.
• Organize outreach, introductions, participation, handoffs, and follow‑through for alumni involvement.
• Maintain detailed alumni‑engagement records, interests, participation history, and next‑action dates.
• Manage the Steers Center Advisory Board, alumni committees, and regional alumni chapters.
• Support advancement, events, communications, admissions outreach, and other program needs through coordinated alumni participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1‑3 years of experience in alumni relations, advancement, board management, employer engagement, career services, or a related relationship‑management role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationship pipelines, operating cadences, and tracking systems with strong data quality and follow‑through.
• Ability to work independently, manage concurrent deadlines, and attend occasional evening events or travel.
