Airport Security Officer - Overnight Shift

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Airport Security Officer for an overnight shift in Lihue, Hawaii. The officer works at a government airport location, supporting clients in sectors such as government, and provides a visible, professional presence to deter security incidents while serving passengers, employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees and airport partners by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, perimeter areas and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas and aircraft operations support areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards and policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, coordinating with airport operations, law enforcement, emergency responders and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations and communications.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of security-related experience; a guard card or license is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, and to pass the DOT background check.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: computer or tablet use, customer service experience, ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
