Airport Security Officer (Full-Time, Tues-Fri)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Airport Security Officer in Lihue, Hawaii, working Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. As an unarmed patrol officer at a government airport, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, keep a visible presence to deter security incidents, and provide customer service to travelers, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel and other stakeholders by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities when needed.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, perimeter areas and other assigned locations to spot and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials when required and report unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations and other critical events following airport and site protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and share observations, incidents and security concerns with supervisors and site contacts.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug screening, including the DOT Pass and ID office requirements.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds and comfort with a computer or tablet are preferred.
