Aircraft Mechanic / A&P Technician – Piston Aircraft

About the role

Join ATP, the nation’s largest flight school, as an Aircraft Mechanic working on single‑engine and multi‑engine piston training aircraft at GKY Airport. The position is Monday‑Friday day shift only, with no overnight or weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on Cessna 172s, Piper Archers, and Piper Seminoles in compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer manuals.
• Document all work accurately in logbooks, computer systems, and required forms.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• Minimum two years of piston‑powered aircraft maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and aircraft manufacturer manuals.
• Ability to work safely and follow all company policies and procedures.

Required skills

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
• Piston‑powered aircraft maintenance expertise.
• Understanding of FAA regulations.
• Garmin integrated avionics troubleshooting (preferred).
• FAA Inspection Authorization (preferred).
• Private pilot’s license (preferred).
