Aircraft Fabrication Technician – Sheetmetal

About the role

AVTECH Global is seeking an Aircraft Fabrication Technician specialized in sheetmetal to support experimental, structural, and flammability testing in a test lab environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect, and repair complex test lab fixtures, equipment, and test articles.
• Assist with test executions and communicate work assignments with test engineering.
• Follow safety rules, use protective equipment, and address unsafe conditions.
• Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean work areas.
• Maintain and return company tools and equipment to proper storage.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2+ years of basic sheetmetal experience.
• Valid driver’s license (may be required) and participation in DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program (may be required).
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Sheetmetal fabrication and basic hand‑tool usage.
• Blueprint reading/interpretation and shop mathematics.
• Experience with CAD packages.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
