AI Workflow Engineer

About the role

Opus AI Technologies builds an agentic AI platform for regulated industries such as insurers, health systems and financial institutions. As an AI Workflow Engineer you embed with enterprise clients and build the agentic workflows that run their processes in production, turning a mapped business process into working orchestration that stands up to audit. This is a build role, not advisory: you write code, wire up systems, debug production behavior and sit next to client engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic workflows in Opus for enterprise clients and partners, from first prototype through production rollout.
• Design and build proofs of concept and pilots, then harden them for operations teams.
• Develop evaluation suites for shipped workflows, defining what "correct" means and measuring it.
• Implement guardrails, human-in-the-loop checkpoints and audit trails suited to each client's regulatory posture.
• Integrate Opus with ERP, CRM, document management and other systems via APIs, data connectors and middleware, and fix integration issues under production pressure.
• Work with client and partner technical teams, run technical enablement and training, and share failure modes and feature requests with Product and Engineering.
• Turn recurring patterns into reusable components, templates and playbooks, and write technical documentation and handover materials.

Required profile

• Engineering background in AI/ML, workflow automation or systems integration, with software shipped that others depend on.
• Production experience with LLMs: prompt engineering, agent and tool-use patterns, retrieval and evaluation.
• Experience integrating with a major ERP or CRM (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce or similar).
• Experience delivering technical workshops or enablement sessions.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
