Aerospace Avionics/Electrical Technician

About the role

Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH Global) seeks an Avionics/Electrical Technician to perform operational testing, troubleshooting and repairs on aircraft avionics and electrical systems, ensuring defect‑free aircraft and minimal schedule impact.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to install and test avionics/electrical components.
• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, soldering, splicing and pinning of wiring per engineering specifications.
• Document all work, maintain test equipment, and comply with FOD, tool control, 5‑S and safety programs.
• Support aircraft certification, including possible flight tests and engineering change implementations.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED with 2‑6 years related experience or equivalent accredited aviation electronics schooling.
• A&P, FCC license or NCATT certification highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; participation in DOT/FAA drug‑and‑alcohol program may be required.

Required skills

• Avionics and aircraft electrical systems knowledge.
• Blueprint/schematic interpretation.
• Use of test equipment, soldering, splicing and pinning techniques.
• FCC, A&P or NCATT certification.
