Advancement Officer

About the role

The Center for Christian Virtue is seeking an Advancement Officer to cultivate and expand its network of supporters. This frontline position focuses on building authentic, trust‑based relationships with current and prospective ministry partners and inviting them into financial and strategic partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of major ministry partners, including individuals, business executives, and church leaders.
• Initiate frequent touchpoints through face‑to‑face meetings, phone calls, and personalized correspondence.
• Use wealth‑screening data and create grant proposals to identify and engage new financial partners.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on CCV programs, translating complex projects into compelling narratives.
• Guide partners through the full sales cycle, making direct requests for major financial investments.
• Document all interactions and pipeline stages in the Virtuous CRM.

Required profile

• 3+ years of success in major‑gift fundraising, corporate sales, wealth management, or B2B business development.
• Exceptional interpersonal and persuasive communication skills with high‑net‑worth individuals and faith leaders.
• Entrepreneurial, self‑motivated mindset able to work independently in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
• Willingness to travel within Ohio for face‑to‑face meetings and networking.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM software such as Virtuous or Salesforce.
