Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – OB/GYN – Full Time

About the role

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients in an outpatient setting, working autonomously and collaboratively with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform age‑appropriate histories, physical examinations, and gynecologic/obstetric assessments.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic and therapeutic tests, including labs, imaging, and procedures such as pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, cryotherapy, biopsies, and IUD management.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans within the legal scope of APRN practice.
• Educate patients and families, facilitate transitions of care, and ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
• Recruit and manage participants for OB/GYN research trials and contribute to clinical research activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Valid Florida APRN license with current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• At least one year of APRN experience, preferably in OB/GYN or maternal‑fetal medicine.
• Ability to make sound clinical judgments, work independently, and collaborate effectively.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in performing OB/GYN procedures (pap smear, colposcopy, LEEP, cryotherapy, biopsies, IUD insertion/removal).
• Experience ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic imaging studies.
• Medication prescribing within APRN scope.
