Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Obstetrics and Gynecology I

About the role

Join the outpatient regional OB/GYN advanced practice provider team at Mercy Hospital Medical Office Building and North Canton Medical Outpatient Center, delivering comprehensive women’s health care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform annual exams, gynecological problem visits, and low‑risk obstetrical care in collaboration with physicians.
• Interpret and manage laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Conduct thorough histories, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor medications as permitted by state licensure and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Educate patients about diseases, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Participate in medical team rounds and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Refer patients to specialists, ensure continuity of care, and support discharge planning.
• Engage in quality monitoring, evidence‑based practice promotion, and may conduct research or serve as a preceptor.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited APRN or Physician Assistant program (MSN required for APRNs within 3 years of hire).
• Current state licensure as Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Physician Assistant, with national certification.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on setting.
• English oral and written communication skills.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and governing hospital bodies.
