Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Cardiology I

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team at Florida Weston Hospital. This full‑time, onsite role focuses on structural heart patient care coordination and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient referrals, perform functional assessments and frailty testing, and coordinate diagnostic testing with cardiologists.
• Assist with structural heart procedures (TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip, TriClip, Evoque, WATCHMAN, Amulet, Lariat) and manage patient education and follow‑up.
• Order and upload required imaging and device data, maintain communication with device representatives, and attend weekly valve conferences.
• Coordinate scheduling, authorizations, and post‑discharge follow‑up, acting as liaison among OR, cath lab, anesthesia, and other departments.

Required profile

• Nationally certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with appropriate state licensure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, surgeons, interventionalists, and device representatives.
• Experience in outpatient and hospital‑based care for complex cardiac patients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural heart devices and procedures: TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip, TriClip, Evoque, WATCHMAN, Amulet, Lariat.
• Competence in ordering and interpreting cardiac imaging (cath, TEE, CT) and managing related data uploads.
