Advanced Practice Provider (NNP/PA) – Neonatology III PRN

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Neonatology team on a PRN basis. The role supports multiple locations, including Hillcrest Hospital, and provides primary and specialty neonatal care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Perform and interpret laboratory, radiologic, and cardiographic studies within credentialed privileges.
• Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with state licensing and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatments, and medication side effects.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and quality monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) with a Master’s degree in the relevant field.
• Current licensure as an RN (for NNP) or PA in the applicable state(s) and active DEA registration if prescribing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS, PALS, or ATLS as required by the work setting.
• Credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee of the employing hospitals.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as applicable.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) utilization.
