Advanced Practice Provider – Family Medicine Inboxologist I

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is expanding its Family Medicine team in North Olmsted. This position blends in‑basket coverage, direct office patient care, and virtual visits, providing comprehensive primary‑care services to patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory care, including history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Deliver approximately 70% in‑basket support and 30% office‑based patient access, handling virtual visits and in‑person appointments.
• Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed, prescribe and monitor medications within scope of licensure.
• Educate patients on disease management, treatment plans, and medication side effects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in rounds, and ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with quality monitoring, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Serve as a preceptor for students, support professional development, and may contribute to research activities.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited APRN program (NP, CNS) or A.R.C. approved PA program.
• Current state licensure as NP, PA, or CNS and national certification.
• Minimum 1 year of advanced practice experience in primary care; family certification preferred for NPs.
• Basic Life Support certification required; ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on setting.
• Ability to work onsite in North Olmsted with occasional floating to other ambulatory locations.
