Advanced Practice Provider – Emergency Medicine Nights (Sign‑on Bonus)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to work night shifts in the Emergency Department at Hillcrest Hospital. The position offers a sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates with at least three years of emergency medicine experience.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform and interpret routine and specialized procedures as credentialed by the Medical Executive Committee.
• Prescribe and monitor medications within state licensing and Cleveland Clinic policies.
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and quality‑monitoring activities.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the applicable state(s).
• National certification for NP (or PA certification through NCCPA) and at least 3 years of emergency department experience.
• Master’s degree in an accredited APRN or PA program (MSN or equivalent).
• Credentialed and privileged by the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) as applicable.
• DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
