Advanced Practice Provider (Acute Care NP/PA) – SICU PRN III

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a skilled PRN Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the SICU/CVICU team at Florida Weston Hospital. This role provides critical care to post‑surgical and cardiovascular patients in a high‑acuity ICU environment with flexible scheduling.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients in collaboration with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct procedures such as arterial and central line placement, intubations, and other critical‑care interventions as credentialed.
• Participate in rounds, rapid response, emergency interventions, and document care in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatments, and medication side effects.

Required profile

• Current Florida licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP‑BC, ACNP) or Physician Assistant.
• National certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA) and BLS/ACLS certification.
• Experience in ICU, transplant, surgical critical care, cardiothoracic, or acute care settings.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills.
