Advanced PAUT Technician

About the role

The Advanced PAUT Technician provides technical implementation and operational support for advanced non‑destructive examination (NDE) technologies, focusing on phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and automated ultrasonic testing (AUT) corrosion mapping. The role involves travel to on‑shore and off‑shore client sites, manufacturing facilities and offshore locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform specialized NDE inspections (PAUT, AUT Corrosion Mapping) on piping, pressure vessels, pipelines and structural components in diverse environments.
• Analyze, interpret and compile inspection results, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations, maintain equipment and QHSE documentation, and support SIS Management in daily activities.
• Mentor Level I and II NDE technicians, assist in training, and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience with advanced ultrasonic methods and Level II certification (ASNT‑TC‑1A or CP‑189) in UT and PAUT.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain TWIC, HUET, SafeGulf, and Rope Access Level 1 certifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills; ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) corrosion mapping.
• Ultrasonic testing software platforms such as Zetec/Ultravision and Olympus/Tomoview.
• Microsoft Office suite.
